Cookie Policy

The cookies and similar technologies Kudovi uses, what each one does, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent.

Effective date: September 6, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Kudovi ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) on kudovi.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage works similarly but is not sent with every request. Both let a site remember you between pages and visits.

The categories we use

We use exactly three categories — nothing else:

1. Strictly necessary (always on)

Required for the site to function; they cannot be switched off.

  • Sign-in session — an authentication session token that keeps you signed in to your dashboard (session / up to 7 days)
  • Security — tokens that protect sign-in and form submissions from forgery (session)
  • Consent preference — your cookie choices, so we don't ask again and can honor your decision (up to 12 months)
  • Region detection — a country/region code derived from your IP address by our hosting provider, used only to decide which consent rules apply to you (for example, whether we must ask before enabling measurement). It is not used for tracking and is deleted when you close your browser (session)

2. Measurement (only with your consent)

Product analytics via PostHog, which helps us understand which features are used and where merchants get stuck. Set only after you click "Accept" in the consent banner.

  • Analytics (PostHog) — a random identifier, session information, and interaction events such as pages viewed and features used (up to 12 months)

PostHog data is processed in the United States. We do not use analytics data for advertising.

3. Advertising (only with your consent)

Ad measurement via the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta (Facebook/Instagram) when a visit or sign-up came from one of our ads, so we can measure ad results and reach people likely to be interested in Kudovi. The pixel script does not load at all unless this category is enabled for you.

  • _fbp — a random browser identifier Meta uses to match ad activity (3 months)
  • _fbc — the click identifier from a Meta ad you clicked, used for ad attribution (3 months)
  • Sign-up flag — a local-storage flag (no identifier) we set after reporting a sign-up, so we never report the same sign-up twice (persistent)

Pixel data is processed by Meta in the United States under Meta's privacy policy. For residents of California and other US states with privacy laws, we enable Meta's Limited Data Use mode, which restricts Meta to processing this data as our service provider.

How consent works by region

  • EU / EEA / UK: measurement and advertising cookies are off by default; we ask before setting any (opt-in).
  • California: measurement and advertising are on unless you opt out via the banner (opt-out), and advertising data is processed under Meta's Limited Data Use mode.
  • Elsewhere: measurement and advertising run by default, and you can opt out at any time.

Managing your choice

  • Use the cookie banner when you first visit, or reopen preferences via the Customize option in the consent dialog to change your choice at any time.
  • You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in.
  • Withdrawing consent stops future measurement and advertising cookies; it does not retroactively delete data already collected (you can request deletion via hello@mail.kudovi.com).

Third-party cookies

The only third-party services setting identifiers on kudovi.com are PostHog (analytics, consent-based) and Meta (advertising, consent-based, as described above). If you sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies on its domains under Google's privacy policy.

Changes

We will update this page if our cookie usage changes and refresh the effective date. Material changes will re-trigger the consent banner where required.
